NEGRONI STUDIO POLICIES
We want every client to know what to expect when working with Negroni Studio. The policies below apply generally to our photography services, including portrait, boudoir, elopement, wedding, and film photography.
Because every type of photography we offer is a little different, additional policies and terms may apply to your specific service. Your photography agreement and selected package will contain the complete terms that apply to your booking and will take precedence if they differ from the general policies listed here.
BOOKING & PAYMENT
A nonrefundable booking fee or retainer is required to reserve photography services with Negroni Studio. A date and time are not considered reserved until the required payment has been received and the applicable photography agreement has been completed.
Booking fees and payment schedules vary depending on the photography service and package selected. Complete payment terms will be provided before booking and included in the applicable agreement.
CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING
Booking fees and retainers are nonrefundable.
Rescheduling policies vary depending on the type of photography service, location, venue, and other arrangements associated with the booking. Some services may involve third party venue or studio fees that cannot be transferred or recovered after a reservation has been made.
The rescheduling and cancellation terms provided with your specific booking will apply.
If Negroni Studio is unable to provide the contracted photography services, we will make reasonable efforts to arrange an alternative date when appropriate. If an alternative cannot be mutually agreed upon, payments for services that cannot be provided will be refunded as outlined in the applicable photography agreement.
LATE ARRIVALS
Please arrive at the time specified for your session or event.
Late arrival does not extend the scheduled photography time and may reduce the amount of photography that can be completed.
For services involving a venue or rental studio, Negroni Studio may not have the ability to extend the reservation beyond the originally scheduled time.
Significant lateness may result in cancellation when there is no longer sufficient time to reasonably provide the scheduled service.
LOCATIONS & VENUES
Photography may take place at a Negroni Studio location, rental studio, private venue, wedding venue, outdoor location, or another location approved for the photography service.
Locations, furnishings, sets, backgrounds, props, décor, landscaping, weather conditions, and other environmental elements may change and cannot be guaranteed to appear exactly as shown in photographs from previous sessions or events.
Clients are responsible for following the rules and restrictions of any location or venue being used.
Additional location requirements will be provided when applicable.
ACCESSIBILITY & ACCOMMODATIONS
Negroni Studio welcomes clients with accessibility needs and will make reasonable efforts to provide appropriate accommodations.
If you require an accessibility accommodation that could affect the photography location, access to the property, posing, movement, or other aspects of the service, please contact us before booking whenever possible. This allows us to determine whether the intended location can reasonably accommodate your needs or whether an alternative arrangement may be necessary.
You are not required to disclose a diagnosis or private medical information. We only need enough information about the accommodation requested to determine an appropriate arrangement.
ARTISTIC STYLE & CREATIVE DISCRETION
Before booking Negroni Studio, clients are encouraged to review our portfolio and make sure our photographic style is a good fit for them.
Photography is a creative service, and no two sessions or events will produce identical results.
Mya retains creative discretion over lighting, posing and direction, composition, camera angles, lenses, backgrounds, cropping, image selection, editing, and other artistic decisions.
Images displayed on our website, galleries, social media, or other materials are examples of previous work. They are not a guarantee that a particular photograph, pose, background, expression, lighting style, or composition can be recreated.
Differences in location, lighting, weather, wardrobe, physical characteristics, available surroundings, film stock, equipment, and other circumstances naturally affect the final photographs.
POSING & DIRECTION
When posing or direction is appropriate for the photography service, Mya provides guidance throughout the process.
Posing and movement are adjusted according to the individual, the type of photography being created, comfort level, mobility, physical ability, clothing, surroundings, and safety.
Clients should communicate any limitations that could affect movement or posing and should immediately let Mya know if a position or movement causes discomfort.
No client is expected to perform a pose or movement that feels unsafe or physically uncomfortable.
EDITING & RETOUCHING
Every final photograph is individually processed according to Negroni Studio's photographic style.
Standard editing may include adjustments to color, exposure, contrast, composition, cropping, and other elements necessary to complete the image.
The amount and type of retouching provided varies depending on the photography service purchased.
Unless specifically included with the service, standard editing does not include significant alteration of body size or proportions, extensive skin alteration, removal of permanent physical features, major wardrobe correction, or advanced photo manipulation.
RAW files and other unfinished photographs are not provided.
Final editing and image selection remain at the Photographer's professional discretion.
FILM PHOTOGRAPHY
Film photography is available for certain sessions and weddings by request.
Film is an analog process and naturally produces results that may differ from digital photography. Grain, color variation, softness, light leaks, minor imperfections, differences between film stocks, and other characteristics may be part of the final result.
Film also provides a limited number of exposures and does not offer the immediate review or unlimited shooting associated with digital photography.
Clients requesting film photography acknowledge and accept the inherent characteristics and unpredictability of the medium.
Specific film coverage, quantities, processing, delivery, and any additional costs will be discussed before booking or adding film photography to an existing service.
IMAGE SELECTION
Depending on the photography service purchased, Negroni Studio may select the final photographs for delivery or provide the client with a gallery from which selections can be made.
When client selections are required, turnaround time begins after all selections have been submitted.
Selections are final once submitted unless otherwise agreed to by Negroni Studio.
Proofing or selection galleries are provided for viewing and selection purposes only. Images appearing in these galleries may be unfinished and are not considered final delivered photographs.
IMAGE DELIVERY
Delivery methods and turnaround times vary depending on the photography service purchased and will be provided with your booking information.
Digital photographs are generally delivered through a private online gallery or download link.
Clients are responsible for downloading their photographs within the provided timeframe and maintaining their own backups after delivery.
Negroni Studio does not guarantee indefinite storage or archival of client photographs after final delivery.
COPYRIGHT & PERSONAL USE
Negroni Studio retains copyright ownership of photographs created by the Photographer.
Clients receive a personal use license for final digital photographs purchased or included with their photography package. This includes permission to download, share, and print their final photographs for personal use.
Photographs may not be sold, licensed, used for advertising, commercially distributed, substantially altered, or used for business or promotional purposes without written authorization from Negroni Studio.
RAW files, proofs, screenshots, unselected photographs, and other images that have not been delivered as final photographs are not included in the client's personal use license.
CLIENT PRIVACY & IMAGE SHARING
We understand that photography can be personal, and privacy is especially important for certain types of sessions.
Boudoir photographs will never be displayed on the Negroni Studio website, social media, advertising, portfolio, or other promotional materials without the client's written permission.
Clients are never required to give Negroni Studio permission to publicly share their boudoir photographs.
Privacy and image usage terms for other photography services will be included in the applicable photography agreement or model release.
EQUIPMENT FAILURE & IMAGE LOSS
Negroni Studio takes reasonable precautions to maintain photography equipment and protect client photographs. However, cameras, memory cards, computers, film, processing equipment, storage systems, and other technology can occasionally fail.
If photographs are lost, damaged, corrupted, destroyed, or otherwise become unavailable because of equipment malfunction, file corruption, processing failure, accident, theft, third party service failure, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control, Negroni Studio will make reasonable efforts to recover the affected images when possible.
Remedies for substantial image loss will be governed by the photography agreement applicable to the service purchased.
WEATHER & UNCONTROLLABLE CIRCUMSTANCES
Outdoor photography is subject to weather, lighting, temperature, environmental conditions, closures, and other circumstances outside Negroni Studio's control.
Negroni Studio cannot guarantee sunsets, cloud cover, wind conditions, temperatures, foliage, water conditions, crowds, wildlife, or any other naturally occurring or location dependent condition.
Severe weather, hurricanes, flooding, fire, government restrictions, venue closures, power outages, public emergencies, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control may require photography services to be delayed, modified, relocated, or rescheduled.
When reasonably possible, we will work with the client to determine an appropriate alternative.
CLIENT CONDUCT & SAFETY
Negroni Studio reserves the right to refuse or discontinue photography services when reasonably necessary because of threatening, harassing, inappropriate, disruptive, destructive, or unsafe behavior.
Clients and anyone attending a photography session or event are expected to treat the Photographer, assistants, vendors, venues, property, equipment, and others with respect.
Photography services may also be discontinued if a client arrives under the influence of drugs or alcohol to the extent that participation would be inappropriate or unsafe.
Additional rules may apply to private studios, residences, venues, and other photography locations.
PROPERTY DAMAGE
Clients are expected to treat photography locations, furnishings, sets, props, equipment, and other property with reasonable care.
Clients may be held responsible for the reasonable cost of repair, replacement, or professional cleaning resulting from damage they or their guests cause beyond ordinary wear and tear.
SERVICE SPECIFIC POLICIES
Negroni Studio offers several different types of photography, and not every policy can reasonably apply to every service.
Boudoir sessions, portrait sessions, weddings and elopements, film photography, rental studio sessions, and other services may have additional requirements concerning age, attendance, wardrobe, hair and makeup, locations, venues, photography time, image selection, privacy, rescheduling, delivery, or other considerations specific to that service.
These requirements will be provided when applicable and may also appear in your photography agreement.
PHOTOGRAPHY AGREEMENTS
These Studio Policies are intended to provide general information about working with Negroni Studio and do not replace the photography agreement associated with your booking.
Before reserving photography services, clients will have an opportunity to review the applicable agreement, package information, pricing, payment terms, and service specific policies.
By completing a booking, the client acknowledges and agrees to the terms contained in the photography agreement associated with the service purchased.
If a provision of these general Studio Policies differs from the terms of a signed photography agreement, the photography agreement will control.
